1. Electronic copies of the documents and information referred to in Article 14 and 14a shall also be made publicly available through the system of interconnection of registers. Member States may also make available the documents and information referred to in Article 14 and 14a for types of companies other than those listed in Annexes II and IIB.

Article 16a(3), (4) and (5) shall apply mutatis mutandis to electronic copies of the documents and information made publicly available through the system of interconnection of registers.

2. Member States shall ensure that the documents and information referred to in Article 14 and 14a, Article 19(2), Article 19a(2) and Article 19b are available through the system of interconnection of registers in a standard message format and accessible by electronic means. Member States shall also ensure that minimum standards for the security of data transmission are respected.

3. The Commission shall provide a search service in all the official languages of the Union in respect of companies registered in Member States, in order to make available through the portal:
