AI Summary of 2. Interpretation
This Act defines key terms relevant to employment relations including the "Act of 2015," the "Commission," and the "contract of employment." A contract of employment encompasses agreements where an individual performs work or service, whether direct or through an employment agency. It specifies terms such as "contractual retirement age," which denotes the age at which an employee must retire as per their employment contract.
The terminology also covers definitions for "employee," "employer," and "Minister," alongside the concept of "pensionable age" as per the Social Welfare Consolidation Act 2005. Additionally, the Act outlines conditions under which one employer may be considered associated with another, including control through corporate structures.
