944R. Restriction of application of certain articles of Data Protection Regulation
(1) Articles 14 (information to be provided where personal data have not been obtained from the data subject) and 15 (right of access by the data subject) of the Data Protection Regulation are restricted, to the extent necessary and proportionate to safeguard the effective performance by the Authority of its functions referred to in subsection (1)(b) and (e) of section 944D, where the performance of those functions give rise to the processing of personal data to which the Data Protection Regulation applies.
(2) In this section, 'Data Protection Regulation' means Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 [OJ No. L 119, 4.5.2016, p.1] on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
