15. Entitlement to parent's leave on death of child

(1) Where a child in relation to whom a relevant parent is entitled to, or is on, parent's leave (in this section referred to as the "relevant child"), dies on or before the expiration of the period of the entitlement concerned, the death shall not affect the entitlement of the relevant parent to such leave.

(2) A reference in subsection (1) to a relevant parent entitled to parent's leave includes a reference to a relevant parent who would be so entitled but for the fact that he or she had not given a relevant notification to his or her employer at the time of the death of the relevant child.
