The power to adopt delegated acts is conferred on the Commission subject to the conditions laid down in this Article. The power referred to in Articles 26(3), 45(6), 46(2) and 47(3) is conferred for a period of five years from 16 June 2014; the Commission shall draw up a report not later than nine months before the end of that five‑year period. That delegation shall be tacitly extended for identical periods unless the European Parliament or the Council opposes such extension not later than three months before the end of each period. The power under Article 26a(3) is conferred for an indeterminate period of time.

The European Parliament or the Council may revoke the delegation at any time; a decision to revoke takes effect the day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union or at a later date specified therein and does not affect the validity of delegated acts already in force. As soon as it adopts a delegated act the Commission shall notify it simultaneously to the European Parliament and to the Council. A delegated act enters into force only if no objection is expressed by either institution within four months of notification, or if both inform the Commission before expiry that they will not object; that period may be extended by two months at the initiative of either institution.
