AI Summary of Article 50 Exercise of the delegation

This provision confers on the European Commission the power to adopt delegated acts in respect of the listed Articles for an indeterminate period commencing 2 July 2014. The delegation may be revoked at any time by the European Parliament or the Council; revocation takes effect the day after publication in the Official Journal or on a later date specified, and does not affect the validity of delegated acts already in force.

As soon as it adopts a delegated act the Commission must notify it simultaneously to the European Parliament and to the Council. A delegated act enters into force only if no objection is expressed by either institution within three months of notification, or if both inform the Commission before that period expires that they will not object; that period may be extended by a further three months at the initiative of either institution.
