49. Penalties for offences under this Part.

A person guilty of an offence under this Part is liable, on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding €5,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months, or both.

On conviction on indictment, a person guilty of an offence under this Part is liable to a fine or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years, or both.
