A person who is a designated person pursuant to section 25(1)(h) shall register with the Minister in accordance with such procedures as may be prescribed or otherwise imposed by the Minister. Failure to register is an offence: on summary conviction a fine not exceeding €5,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months (or both); on conviction on indictment a fine or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years (or both).

The Minister shall maintain a register containing the name of each designated person who registers, the name and address of the premises of the private members' club to which the designation relates and any prescribed information reasonably required for the purposes of the Act. The register may be in book, electronic or other form (and may be maintained in non‑written form only if reproducible in written form), shall be maintained at a Department office, may be published, is available to the public for copy on payment of reasonable charges, and entries may be removed where the person ceases to be a designated person.
